Pewter

I've recently started getting into pewter work. My first piece was an extraordinarily heavy egg cup. Since then things have been a little lighter. I am hoping to work on a pewter necklace based on a Tudor style some time soon. Below are a couple of pieces.

Silver Guard v1
This silver guard design is based on an islamic braclet. Granted the braclet was made from gold and wouldn't have been solid like this, but I'm giving it a go anyway. So far it has been defeating me and the mould broke. Below are reasonable casts with certain defects that didn't go away... (2007)

Tudor Pendant
I recently made a pewter tudor pendant for our shire birthday A&S competition. It is intended to be a piece in a full tudor necklace like Holbien painted Jane Seymour wearing. (2007)
